Epson and Bachmann Software Provide Mobile Printing from Palm OS® Handhelds

LONG BEACH, Calif. - August 19, 2003 ... Epson America Inc. and Bachmann Software today announced the availability of Epson-compatible mobile printing software for printing fully formatted text, as well as some graphics, from handheld computers based on the Palm OS®.

As part of the initiative, Epson and Bachmann worked together to add graphical printing support for most Epson ink jet printers to Bachmann Software's popular PrintBoy software for Palm OS handhelds. With PrintBoy, handheld users can print fully formatted documents, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, calendars and much more from the most popular Palm OS compatible applications, including DataViz' Documents To Go and Smart List To Go, Cutting Edge's QuickOffice, DDH's HandBase and more. PrintBoy supports direct printer connections from the handheld to Epson printers using Bluetooth, 802.11b ("Wi-Fi"), wired networks, and infrared through Bachmann Software's InfraReady Plus printer adapter.
