Utility Suite Published by Handmark to be Available Among National Retailers
SPARTA, N.J.

February 5, 2002
Today at PalmSource, the annual gathering of the Palm Economy, Bachmann Software announced that
its two popular Palm OS applications, FilePoint and PrintBoy, are available with other essential
utilities as part of the Mobile Tools utility suite offered by Handmark. Mobile Tools
is a suite of the most useful Palm OS utility applications designed to improve the handheld experience
of Palm Powered device users. Staples and CompUSA are among the leading national retailers committed to carrying the product.
"FilePoint was a key building block in creating MobileTools," said Doug Edwards, Handmark's vice
president of marketing. "its simple user interface makes it a must-have utility component for any mobile professional
that conducts business on his or her Palm OS handheld."
"Having all of these essential tools available in one package makes it easier than
ever for users to get the most out of their handheld devices," said Dan Reuvers,
Bachmann Software's vice president of business development. "Bachmann Software is
proud to have its two premiere applications, PrintBoy and FilePoint,
providing the file management and printing components of the Mobile Tools suite."
FilePoint provides users with a familiar "folder tree" style of file management,
including the ability to create a hierarchy of folders, both on the device itself
as well as on expansion cards. FilePoint now supports all major Palm OS devices,
including those from Palm, Inc., Handspring, Sony and HandEra. Since its launch in
June 2001, FilePoint has been lauded for its user-friendly features and familiar
interface. In its 5-star review of FilePoint published in the November 27, 2001 issue,
PC Magazine praised FilePoint's ability to "help you take advantage of PDA
storage expansion, keep applications accessible, and set up a customized file folder organization scheme."
PrintBoy has long been heralded for its ability to enable users of all Palm Powered
handheld computers to simply beam their data to an infrared-equipped printer to
produce hard copies wirelessly. PrintBoy supports the printing of all native Palm
Powered applications, including Date Book, Address, Memo Pad, To Do List, e-mail
and clipboard, as well as many of the industry's leading word processing, spreadsheet
and database applications.
Other applications included in the Mobile Tools bundle include Blue Nomad's
Backup Buddy, Handmark's MobileSafe, SuperUtility, Checklist and more.
It retails for $49, a full 70% below the cost of the stand alone components.
